Ceramsite Rotary Kiln Introduction and Working Principle

Ceramsite Rotary kiln manufactured by Cemine is one special type of varied rotary kilns,mainly designed for ceramsite production.The above mentioned rotary kiln is used in the calcination section with advantages of smooth operation, less malfunctions and high production efficiency.

In addition to ceramsite production, ceramsite rotary kiln can be used for calcination of materials,such as clay, yellow clay,sludge,slush of bottom river,fly ash,shale,slag,dolomite,kaolin,bauxite,limestone, titanium powder,vanadium ore,activated carbon, coke,fine ore, materials composed of aluminum oxide or magnesium oxide or zinc oxide, special cement and so on.

Process flow of ceramsite vertical rotary kiln:Qualified raw materials after homogenization delivered to raw materials hopper by bucket elevator. Materials are turned into pellets after disc granulator. Materials scatter installment scatter those pellets into VSK for calcination.The discharged clinker from VSK then being crushed and delivered into clinker silo.

Ceramsite rotary kiln is widely metallurgy,chemical industry,constructional refractory,environment etc. This rotary kiln is made of cylinder,supporting unit, supportment with catch wheels,transmission unit,movable kiln head,kiln end with seal, coal spraying pipe unit and so on. Cylinder supported by supporting rollers and being free from played up and down by the catch wheels leans and staggers some angle with the level. In addition to the main driven system,auxiliary driven system is also adopted to slowly drive cylinder and avoid bending deflection of cylinder in case of shutting down of main power.

Ceramsite Rotary Kiln Working Principle:

a) Cylinder staggers 3%-4% angle with the level.The whole cylinder is supported accordingly by riding wheels via two tires,being free from played up and down by the catch wheels along axial transmission. The transmission process is as :Pinion is driven by variable frequency motor by means of gear box and coupling. Gear bolted in middle cylinder engages with pinion and in this way rotary kiln cylinder starts rotation.

b) Ceramsite rotary kiln calcination process: raw materials are fed into rotary kiln from kiln end(the upper side).Because of cylinder inclination and slow rotation,raw materials moves in the direction combining of peripheral direction and axial direction. Thus raw materials rotates and moves to kiln head(the low height side). Those materials get calcinated from kiln end and have physiochemical reactions when confronting with super-hot airflow. The finished product-clinker will be discharged from kiln head and conveyed to next process.
